Some family members recently visited Botswana on a safari holiday. They were under strict instructions from me to track down steam at Livingstone or Victoria Falls, and they came back with these from the Livingstone Railway Museum. Zambia Rly 10th class no.156 and 12th class no.204, both 4-8-2s built by North British, Glasgow in 1922 and 1928 respectively were seen. Photos by my daughter (not a rail enthusiast). How nice to photograph railways in unbroken sunshine! The engines and rolling stock form the 'Royal Livingstone Express' which runs over the Victoria Falls Bridge. They all date from the mid-1920s of British build.
